![]() ![]() In EarthBound, Giygas is incapable of speaking sanely, saying things such as, 'It hurts ' and 'Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness,' (shown below, right). Giygas takes on no directly clear form, but during Ness's battle with him, he manifests in the repeating pattern of a distorted face with clear spikes growing out of the top. It is also implied that George's return to Earth makes PSI a widespread phenomenon across the globe - this evokes the story of Prometheus, the Greek hero who stole the knowledge of fire from the gods. In Mother, Giygas is displayed as an alien with a human-like figure trapped inside of a shell (shown below, left). Though he faces many challenges throughout his journey and grows in many ways, Ness never. They raised the alien as their son, and Giygas became especially close to Maria, who became his surrogate mother. Ness is able to defeat Giygas and fulfill his prophecy. ![]() The group teleports to Dalaam where the group comes face to face with the. Along with them came an infant alien, Giygas, that they had grown fond of while in captivity. Giygas has promised Pokey so much in return for loyalty, and Ness is a fool to. With the powers of PSI, Maria and George were able to return to Earth. It is unknown whether PSI was created or learned only by the race of aliens who abducted the married couple, but it is thanks to George that PSI came to Earth. ![]() While living with the aliens, George studied them and their strange powers, known as PSI, short for Psionics. This all happened many years before the events of EarthBound Beginnings. They are a married couple living in the town of Podunk that gets abducted by an alien race. Ness and friends face Giygas, blah blah blah, defeat him, and well, this is where we get to the problem with time travel. and it seems scary, that is why both Ness and Pokey were scary. The story of Giygas begins with two humans, Maria and George. I can see all three, but I still believe the skull face is the most predominating one.
